What to Expect at MWC 2025 – 5G, Cybersecurity & Of Course AI

Let’s start with the obvious. With 100K+ attendees, 2700+ exhibitors from 205 countries, Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona is probably the world’s largest and most influential connectivity event. From founders to presidents it’s an opportunity to connect with everyone from everywhere in the telecom industry.

This year the event will focus on six themes under the umbrella of ‘Converge. Connect. Create’. For telecom professionals, there is something for everyone. The themes are as follows:

5G Inside – The next phase of 5G rollouts will enhance network versatility and reliability, enabling new revenue streams, cost efficiencies, and industry transformation.

Connect X – With IoT devices set to surpass 15 billion, MWC25 will explore how industry collaboration and dynamic, secure networks can unlock the full potential of connected technologies.

AI+ – Exploring AI and its real-world impact, from network and cloud transformation to data management, ethical challenges, and personalized experiences.

Enterprise Re-invented – While adapting to and keeping pace with significant technological changes and transformations, enterprises invest substantial time and resources into their digital strategies to secure a competitive advantage.

Game Changers – Use cases and insightful discussions on how transformative technologies such as quantum computing, extended reality, and AI will redefine our future.

Our Digital DNA – Technology companies worldwide must realign their values to reflect the shift from digital evolution to ecological transformation.

But, of course, there will be so much more to see and learn this year at MWC. And it’s not just about gadgets and buzzwords. Although I must admit that you will hear the Allot product experts talking about AI, as well.

Since I’ve already brought up the Allot product experts, I might as well go ahead and give you a sneak peek at what we’ll be presenting at the Allot Booth (5G41).

  • 360° Zero-touch Cybersecurity. More and more telecom operators are adopting zero-touch, network-native cybersecurity solutions for consumers and small businesses. With this type of solution, customers get anywhere, anytime cyber-protection without the need to download, install and configure complex software on their devices. Zero-touch cybersecurity drives service adoption rates as high as 50%. That’s worth checking out.
  • Network Protection. Multilayer DDoS protection that safeguards your network infrastructure, services, and QoE.
  • Traffic Management and Visibility. Guarantees the highest level of QoE and makes it possible for telecom operators to defer costly network expansion.

Whether this is your first time at MWC or your 30th, you know that there will be innovations to be discovered at the show. Take a few minutes to meet the friendly, knowledgeable people at the Allot booth and you might be surprised at how they can help you increase recurring revenue, reduce cyber threats on your network and help to make your customers love your services. See you in Barcelona.
