Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE) is a private university in Argentina. It was founded in 1957 to raise and educate its students to successfully cope with various industry verticals’ dynamic and growing needs. In 2017, UADE Business School obtained international reaccreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, a prestigious accreditation body specializing in business education, which supports, celebrates, and rewards teaching excellence.
The Challenges
UADE sought to optimize its Internet bandwidth management while effectively controlling costs. Thus, they were in need of a solution to administer and model their Internet bandwidth, giving priority and assurance to critical applications over less essential traffic, such as leisure-related activities that tend to consume more bandwidth.
Furthermore, UADE had the imperative to guarantee uninterrupted operations by ensuring the availability of their key websites, VPNs, and applications such as MS Teams, even in the event of one or more Internet link failures.
The Solution
UADE implemented the Allot Traffic Intelligence and Assurance solution, powered by SSG-500, to effectively address their bandwidth management requirements. This solution empowers UADE to efficiently handle a high volume of network packets per second, enabling deep packet inspection (DPI), prioritization, traffic shaping, and penalty enforcement on a large-scale traffic level. It also provides the capability to manage numerous ISP connections across the campus effectively.
The solution seamlessly manages the traffic and connections of approximately 10,000 student devices across Wi-Fi networks and classrooms while ensuring optimal internet traffic flow for the data center infrastructure servers. UADE can now prioritize the needs of its users without compromising the performance and availability of critical internet services.
